The Transfer Station’s mission is to provide information to Town Residents to assist our community in maintaining proper waste management practices. Acceptable Waste – All recyclable materials, including clothing and shoes, common household trash, plastic bags, leaves and brush, car batteries, used antifreeze in a non reusable container, used motor oil and oil filters, fireplace ashes and demolition/construction materials*. * Some items incur additional fees.

Annual Permit – $90.00
Senior Permit – $45.00

Must be a resident or any owner of real property located within the Town of Clifton Park. Purchase at the Transfer Station, must provide proof of residency/property ownership at time of purchase. A Permit is required for each vehicle and the Permit sticker must be displayed on the back side of the vehicle’s rearview mirror, to be visible to the gate attendant. A Permit consists of two (2) punch cards consisting of fifty-two punches per card. Each punch hole entitles owner to deposit one (1) 36 gallon bag of refuse or its equivalent. Permits are valid for one (1) year, May 1st through April 30th each year. Senior Citizen (age 65+), Social Security Disability and Disabled American Veteran Permits: Discounted permits for qualifying residents MUST be purchased at the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Hall, Phone 371-6681. Please bring your driver’s license and the registration of the car (or cars) that wish to take items in.
Spring 2019 Clean-Up / Green Up Extended Hours Sunday, April 28, 2019 and Sunday, May 5, 2019. Hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for the collection of leaves and brush only.
Fall 2019 Clean-Up Extended Hours Sunday, October 27, 2019; Sunday, November 3, 2019; Sunday, November 10, 2019; Sunday, November 17, 2019. Hours are 10:00AM to 4:00PM for Fall cleanup of leaves and brush only. All permit holders are entitled to one free pick up truck load of mulch per week when available.

Household Hazardous Waste Brochure
For several consecutive years the Town of Clifton Park conducted a curbside bulk waste pick-up for the benefit of its residents. The cost to the Town each year is over $100,000 and rising. After a lower participation rate in 2014, it was decided that the Town would provide this free service to residents every other year. The most recent bulk item removal was held in 2018 and it is expected to be offered again by the Town sometime in 2020.
The Clifton Park Town Board has announced that County Waste will once again be conducting free, curbside yard waste pick-up service for Clifton Park residents in 2019. The service will be offered from April through the end of November weather permitting. Now that the inclement winter weather has passed, County Waste will begin training runs the week of April 1st with official pickup beginning on Monday, April 8th.
