Watch for Overnight Closure of Route 146, Lane Reduction on Route 9 The Weekend of May 21st and 22nd in Halfmoon, Saratoga County
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising motorists to watch for an overnight closure of State Route 146 across U.S. Route 9 in the Town of Halfmoon, Saratoga County, from Saturday, May 21, at 10 p.m. until Sunday, May 22, at 9 a.m. to replace and upgrade traffic signals. U.S. Route 9 will be reduced to one lane in each direction at this intersection.
Motorists on Route 146 will be directed to a signed detour using Old Route 146 and Fire Road during the closure.
In case of inclement weather, the work and closure will be rescheduled for the overnight hours from June 4 to June 5.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
Motorists are reminded to Move Over a lane, if safely possible, or slow down significantly whenever encountering roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
